The Renegade X comes with our patented mounting system to securely attach the radio to any backpack or avalanche airbag and is compatible with our other Bluetooth accessories. The Renegade X were engineered from the ground up to survive the harshest backcountry environments. Using real feedback from athletes and industry professionals like Dan Adams, Matt Entz, the Boondockers, and many others, Oxbow rebuilt the Renegade platform into the X model. Every detail-from the button layout to the upgraded waterproofing, moisture protection, and user interface-was designed to create the ultimate backcountry radio. The microphone and speaker are protected by a full-face waterproof membrane that prevents freezing in extreme conditions. The PTT button is fully sealed so moisture, snow, and deep powder never interfere with performance. At Oxbow, they take backcountry communication seriously, and have built a radio you can rely on when it matters most-because in the mountains, reliable communication can literally mean the difference between life and death. The license-free Renegade X features 22 channels and 121 sub-channels. Its removable lithium-ion battery and power-saving technology provide over 50+ hours of use. Transmitting at the U.S. legal limit of 2 watts, it delivers a line-of-sight range of 35+ miles and a typical backcountry range of 1-5 miles.
